After hearing some comments about the Tomoson logo we wanted to make a blog post to see what the rest of you thought. Originally we made this logo but we got feed back that it was too boring and wasn’t any fun.
ORIGINAL LOGO
Next we worked with our graphic designer and came up with two other logos based on the feedback. We made this logo because it had a unique icon that symbolizes increased sales when using Tomoson.com. Obviously it also looked like a T but we didn’t think the obvious needed to be stated
INCREASED SALES LOGO
The third logo was coined the fun logo. If you look at any of the large websites out there you’ll see they don’t make things too fancy. They use a unique font and brand one of the letters, facebook.com and twitter.com are perfect examples of this. This lead us to the logo below which is more fun but simple like we wanted.
TOMOSON FUN LOGO
Internally we liked the fun logo best (that’s why you see it on the website) but we want to hear from you the pre-users. Please comment on the blog below and let us know what you think. Even if you don’t like any of them please tell us and give some constructive critisisum.
As Derek Zoolander and Hansel said, “It’s a walk-off”

I like the fun logo for sure the best. The second one is nice but almost a bit un-welcoming!
Diana · May 26, 2010 at 12:52 pm
Definitely, definitely number 3. (Yes, it’s a poor Rainman impersonation.)
Do you think maybe you could add a distinguishing attribute to the first letter? (ie. different colour, larger size, outline, etc.) Or maybe have the rest in lowercase? Just sayin’.
Rebecca · May 26, 2010 at 12:56 pm
The Fun label is terrific!!! It’s fun but not silly. It’s also sharp and very recognizable. I give it a thumbs up.
nicole · May 26, 2010 at 1:05 pm
fun one the best- hands down!
JenniferB · May 26, 2010 at 1:06 pm
I like the fun logo the best- it looks more inviting, makes you want to know more about it.
Sarah · May 26, 2010 at 1:12 pm
I like the fun logo best!
Henrietta · May 26, 2010 at 1:13 pm
Definitely the fun one, I don’t like the T of the second one at all! It’s too stiff.
Rachael Coe · May 26, 2010 at 1:20 pm
I definitely prefer the “fun” logo!
LLL with Leslie · May 26, 2010 at 1:24 pm
I love the fun logo!
crystalp · May 26, 2010 at 1:25 pm
The fun logo is well named. I like it and it makes me feel as though a working relationship with Tomoson will be enjoyable. The original is nice and clean and profession. I am not a fan of the Increased Sales logo, it is too aggressive and because of that I find it deterring.
Lara · May 26, 2010 at 1:30 pm
I like the fun one the best!!!
Debbie · May 26, 2010 at 1:31 pm
I like the fun one!
Amanda T · May 26, 2010 at 1:37 pm
The Fun Logo is cute, it draws attention with it’s “different font”. I don’t like the Promotional one at all (increased sales) because it’s too serious and it looks like it belongs on some high corporate company.
Shelly · May 26, 2010 at 1:44 pm
I prefer the fun logo myself!! Because, if you’re not having fun…why bother!?
Kristi · May 26, 2010 at 1:55 pm
Out of the 3 I like the fun one the best – but it sort of made me think of kids and toys… probably not what you are aiming for! I agree with someone above that the second one looks “stiff” – maybe if you could combine the 2??
erin · May 26, 2010 at 1:59 pm
I like the fun one too! It has charachter.
Mandee · May 26, 2010 at 2:04 pm
I like the “FUN” logo the best. I must ask though, is there are reason it is green? I think a turquoise or lime green would be even more fun!
Motherhood Moment · May 26, 2010 at 2:07 pm
I like the fun one but it doesn’t really describe what it is like the others. The first one seemed bland, and the new one is much more modern, although I don’t really like the T as well. I think with the head, the check, and the arrow, it’s too busy, maybe without the arrow on the end of the check it would look a little better but still get the point across?
Superchikk · May 26, 2010 at 2:40 pm
My vote is for the fun logo. The first one is boring. The second looks very corporate. Definitely like the third.
Rebecca Morgan · May 26, 2010 at 2:46 pm
I love the fun one!
Debra · May 26, 2010 at 2:56 pm
I Love the fun logo I think its great although I think you should add “promotional Marketing? to it. It explains a little bit more of what you are about I think if you use the samew font just in a smaller size it will look great
Sara · May 26, 2010 at 2:57 pm
The third choice is definitely the best. I would say it is more appealing and easier on the eye.
melissa B · May 26, 2010 at 3:06 pm
The Third one is the best!!!
gigi · May 26, 2010 at 3:22 pm
I like #3 the best but agree that it doesn’t really “say” much. I would try to combine elements of #1 with #3.
Heather · May 26, 2010 at 3:27 pm
The fun one is great!
J · May 26, 2010 at 3:53 pm
I’m actually leaning towards the fun one too!
Rajee · May 26, 2010 at 3:58 pm
I also think fun logo is good
BrendaLea · May 26, 2010 at 4:11 pm
I like the fun one too! But I agree with Diana that the first letter, or maybe even the last letter…. needs something. Larger size, different color, different shape…. something just a tad bit more. Like someone else mentioned it looking like ‘for’ kids or toys. Just my 2 cents.
Kat · May 26, 2010 at 5:09 pm
I really prefer the fun logo because product testing and promotional marketing doesn’t need to be stiff and boring, it needs to be fun and exciting!
It needs to make people want to know more about this fun and unique company, and how can they get in on it!
I do think though, that the “T” of Tomoson should be slightly larger, same font, but just a wee bit larger, and that you should include “Promotional Marketing” at the end of it in the same fun font but in a slightly smaller size than the word Tomoson, and ditch using the word “Beta”.
So basically, (I can’t use fonts here so just try to picture it please)
(Large T) Tomoson (then smaller font but correct capitalization) Promotional Marketing (! maybe an exclamation point at the end of it to intensify the fun and excitement of it!)
The word beta tells people that this is a test, and if the test fails, then they have no real goals, no reason to work hard at it because let’s face it, most companies that use the word beta, end up using beta v.2, v.3, and so on until they end up crashing and burning because they beta tested for too long, and it always feels like a never ending beta test, and then your bloggers as well as your adverts, won’t feel the security of knowing that Tomoson Promotional Marketing is going to work hard at making this work and be an absolute blast to be a part of!
Your bloggers and adverts need to feel pumped and energized by the fun logo, and without the word beta at the end, they will feel the security of knowing that this isn’t a silly trial run, this game is on baby, and Tomoson Promotional Marketing is in it to win it!
If you can make both the bloggers and adverts feel excited and happy, feel secure that this is going to work, both parties will work hard at making Tomoson Promotional Marketing, really, truly, work.
They will feel energized, and most importantly, feel personally invested in a company that is determined to be the #1 leader in product testing and reviews, invested enough to make every product test and review campaign that they do, the absolute very best that they can do.
If all parties involved feel like they have something amazing to gain by rocking every review campaign, then Tomoson Promotional Marketing will succeed where other companies have failed.
Oh, one more thing.
The actual website, really looks boring, bland, and the 2 different shades of gray totally clash with the yellow and green of the top logo and header tabs.
Sorry for this long comment, but you asked for my thoughts, here they are, and I for one am already really excited to get going on this!
I can’t wait to see what advertisers sign up with us, what kinds of products we’ll have the opportunity to review, and based on my previous experience working with you on a product review, I’m really very excited to see what else is on the way for this up and coming, and “going to be successful” company!
Butch · May 26, 2010 at 5:29 pm
The Fun logo I think is a nice approach the second Logo is very good also. It all depends on what you are trying to achieve.
The second logo would definitely be the corporate look while the third is a more relaxed today look at things.
personally I like the third better
Monique · May 26, 2010 at 5:36 pm
I like the fun one the best.
BLittles · May 26, 2010 at 6:02 pm
To be honest, I really don’t like any
I am so sorry, but none are really catching my attention for some reason
Jeanette Huston · May 26, 2010 at 8:03 pm
I liked number 3 the best;-)
Cake Mom · May 26, 2010 at 8:04 pm
FUN!!!
RetroGirl (Angela) · May 26, 2010 at 8:25 pm
I think the old original logo is okay…
The 2nd – sales logo is too aggressive as others have said – it gives me the first impression right off–that it is for an airline or air transport company.
I like the fun logo – it’s a great font. However at first look—my immediate reaction is: Okay, this is a name….what does this company do? This font immediately gives me the impression this is for a company whose product/service is recreational or creative…It’s a bit comical looking almost… It needs to include the words “Promotional Marketing” to identify what your company does, for sure…Maybe even include a small, relevant graphic….Something to make it fun, fresh yet professional and to properly identify the company and what you’re about.
Michaela · May 26, 2010 at 9:02 pm
I like #3 best
Stephanie J · May 26, 2010 at 9:31 pm
I like the fun logo as well.
Miel Abeille · May 26, 2010 at 10:25 pm
#3 has the most personality, but doesn’t say what Tomoson stands for. I agree with Gigi, try to combine #1 and #3.
Over Thirty Mommy · May 26, 2010 at 10:29 pm
I agree with many others and would select the Fun logo. I do like the Increased sales logo as well but the fun one edged it out just slightly.
Deb K · May 26, 2010 at 10:36 pm
The Fun one for sure!
Erin · May 26, 2010 at 10:39 pm
I couldn’t have said it any better than Kat did. I agree with everything she said
Tatum · May 26, 2010 at 10:45 pm
I like the Fun one the best…
jerrica puckett · May 26, 2010 at 10:51 pm
Love the fun logo!!
Michael (@TCRPMG) · May 27, 2010 at 1:17 am
The fun logo is indeed fun, but I really like the Increased Sales logo. It has a great professional look to it. The only thing I would recommend is that you even up the black and green verticals. They aren’t lined up quite right and are throwing the look off for the top of the logo. That’s just my opinion. Take it for what it’s worth.
ThriftyGrl · May 27, 2010 at 6:37 am
I like the 3rd logo the best! It is visually appealing and, well, fun! And really, who doesn’t like fun?! : )
Kimberly@PrettyPinkMomma · May 27, 2010 at 10:14 am
I like the fun logo the best. I would want to add promotional marketing somewhere below it in a different font or color maybe so that people know what you are about just by looking at the logo. Tomoson in itself doesn’t say much about what you do. Just my two cents!
Susieqtpies · May 27, 2010 at 12:41 pm
Love #3… #2 design is cool and unique but lines are way too harsh!
Kim Holsapple · May 27, 2010 at 4:08 pm
I like the fun logo also, more personality.
Dealightfully Frugal · May 27, 2010 at 5:21 pm
I definitely like the fun logo the best.
Zippy · May 27, 2010 at 6:34 pm
I also like the fun logo. Why? Well, because it’s FUN silly.
