Yes, Tomoson.com is 100% free for bloggers.
Are the products given away on Tomoson.com free?
Yes they are free, but bloggers need to apply and get approved by the promoter before a product is shipped to them.
How are products shipped to bloggers?
The promoter has the option to ship products via any carrier they prefer, but Tomoson has the capability for the promoter to update the blogger with a tracking number. Once the tracking number is entered into the promoters control panel the blogger will receive an email update. Remember always check your spam folder.
How do bloggers get approved?
When the promoter creates a promotion they will set specific parameters around what kind of blogger they want to review their product. It could be anything from the amount of Twitter followers to the industry the blog is within. If a blogger meets the criteria they will be preapproved and the promoter will need to manually approve the blogger for the final step. There is an auto approve setting that will push a blogger though right away if they meet all the criteria set.
If a blogger is not approved he/she will get a chance to submit a rebuttal to the promoter stating why they should be approved to review the product. Things like video reviews, Facebook friends, and alternative blogs are common rebuttals.
Do bloggers need to review the products?
No it is not required, but the entire point of Tomoson is to get a review (good or bad) written about the product that is sent to the blogger.
Why do some products not allow contests?
This is a choice the promoter has when creating a promotion. If you (the blogger) would like to see the promoter offer their product for a contest in the future. Work with them to ensure their current promotion yields high returns for them.
Here are some things bloggers can do:
- Create a video review combined with a text review
- Update Twitter and Facebook with the review.
Does Tomoson.com control what contest a blogger can run?
No, bloggers are free to run whatever kind of contest they want. All we ask is they verify the contest url like they verified their review.
Why do bloggers need to list their Twitter email when applying for a promotion?
When a promoter creates a promotion one of the criteria they fill out is the amount of Twitter followers they would like the blogger to have. Listing your email lets the promoter know which Twitter account is yours so they can verify the amount of followers. We also make sure to tell the promoter to be realistic with their estimations or they won’t get any bloggers to review their products.
Why should a blogger fully fill out all social profile information?
Many promoters want to ensure that they are engaging with people who care and engage in the social space. For highly competative promotions promoters want to be able to reach the most influential bloggers out there.
