Why cold brew coffee? Cold-brewing ground beans produces a coffee that is naturally low in acid - approximately 67% less acidic than coffee brewed by conventional hot-brew methods. Why choose cooxon brewer? For our products, we use only premium materials. - Dishwasher safe Borosilicate temperature-shock resistant glass - Removable premium stainless steel filter and airtight lid - BPA free silicone Cold Brew Coffee Recipe: 1. 3.5oz or 6-8 Tablespoons of coffee. If grinding beans, use the coarsest grind setting available as a finer grind will result in cloudier coffee. 2. Insert the filter and add 1/3 of your ground coffee into it. 3. Pour 12 ounces or about 1.5 cups of water over the coffee in the filter. 4. Add the remaining coffee to the filter and pour another 20 ounces or 2.5 cups of water over it until the pitcher is almost full. 5. Place the cap and store in the fridge for 12-20H Cold Brew Tea: Same steps as coffee. Use 1.5 times more tea, than you would use for regular hot brewing. We recommend 2-3 teaspoon per cup. The Brewer holds 4 cups, so calculate accordingly. What hat are most common mistakes? - Using the *Good* Beans. Cold brew is much more forgiving, so you don't need to use only premium and freshly roasted beans. - Grinding the Beans Too Fine. In cold brew you should grind the beans coarsely. Coffee that is too finely ground will "over-extract" and become bitter. - Wrong Coffee/Water ratio. We recommend a quarter-pound of beans to four cups of water. - Not Diluting the Concentrate. The average brewing time is 24H. Be aware that will result in an intensely flavored (and caffeinated) coffee concentrate. When you're ready to drink, dilute it at least 50:50 with water (adding cream or alt-milks will also cut the intensity).
