Author & Teachers Fight Homeless with Student Art
Check out this project! It is one that lets teachers, students, and authors collaborate in the fight against homelessness. The project is under the sponsorship of Alan H. Jordan (The Monster on Top of the Bed, http://Monbed.com).
The HEART-TO-HEART homeless project allows students to illustrate a page or spread. Teachers curate the students’ efforts, as such; it is the students who are at the vanguard of the fight. When a polished piece of an artwork is complete, it is included in several eBooks that are distributed to museum curators, publishers, and artists.
The goal is to expose the students to new career opportunities. Visit http://DrawForKids.org. Interested teachers should kindly fill out the Online Application and guide students through the process of preparing artwork.
Students may receive honorariums. There is no charge to have a sponsored student’s portfolio piece included and circulated to centers of influence.
