LCD Display with Backlight
The advanced LCD Panel is backlit to easily read in dim light or total darkness. The panel automatically shuts off after 10 minutes. This saves power for longer outings. Hold the volume button for 2 seconds to power it up again.
Unique Memory Mode
This detector remembers the kind of metal you choose, then only responds to that specific metal. To use the memory function, wave a silver quarter directly in front of the search coil. The MT-XR will remember silver and only look for that same type of metal. Makes finding specific treasure much easier and faster.
3 Indications of Discriminate Targets
The image readout is divided into 6 categories on the LCD display. When used to find target metals, the corresponding cursor will flash when that metal is located. The Digital ID Cursor offers 2 digit values of 01 to 99 to accurately indicate metal material. Each metal has it's own value range. For example, Iron is 10-40. When the digits show 30, you have detected Iron. Once you are familiar with this more convenient and powerful detection process, you can simply watch the screen to locate more treasure. The sound identification system offers 3 frequency tones to help locate targets.
Use MT-XR Outdoors
This advanced metal detector is designed for outdoor use. It generally will not work well indoors due to the high number of objects, electrical equipment, and interference signals. When doing detection in the field, be aware the composition of soil in your area and the composition, size, shape, and oxidation of underground metals will affect detection results.
Watch for Reliable Repeating Signals
Most valuable metal objects will send repeating signals. If the signal only sounds or shows once, it's most likely a false positive and not a real object. Watch for a clear sound indicating a buried target. The LCD screen will show the target type and depth. Move the search coil over the target to get a better, more stable signal.
