This is to announce the upcoming April release of Writers of the Future Volume 34. In this volume will be found the 12 winning writers and 12 winning illustrators from the most effective merit competition of its kind in the world.
The new trade paperback features full color reproductions of the illustrations in the front of the book as well as 3 short stories by established authors, Brandon Sanderson, Jody Lynn Nye and L. Ron Hubbard. It is edited by David (Wolverton) Farland. The cover art is painted by Ciruelo. As a note, having established the cover art, Jody Lynn Nye has written a story as inspired by that art. We also have how-to articles by Orson Scott Card, Ciruelo and Echo Chernik (our Illustrators of the Future coordinating judge.) And lastly, there is an article by Jerry Pournelle that we created by transcribing an interview he gave on his working with Robert Heinlein.
