Founded by moms Mary Grace, Nancy Nehoray, and Michaeline Heydari, Bonga Foods uses African super-food to create organic chews and powders. Their main superfood, the Baobab fruit, is a wild-harvested super fruit growing all over South Africa and bursting with ten times more antioxidants than blueberries, while naturally rich in fiber and vitamin C. It’s been acknowledged as having "six times as much vitamin C as oranges, twice as much calcium as milk, and plenty of B vitamins, magnesium, iron, phosphorous, and antioxidants." (via Forbes). Bonga Foods' Baobab Powder is just as impressive, consisting of over 50% fiber by weight, the majority of which is soluble fiber. That’s over 10 times the antioxidant power of blueberries, pomegranate, goji berries, and even açaí, and gram for gram, it has more calcium than milk. The powder is great for mixing into baked goods, adding to yogurt, smoothies, or even mixing into your water-bottle, and the chews themselves are just as healthy and tasty, and especially good for kids, coming in four flavors including Raspberry, Strawberry, Mango, and Pomegranate.
